Agricultural Banking

Who We Are

We realize that all farming operations are different, but everyone wants to succeed. The Bank's lenders work to understand your needs, while providing experience and insight to help you make more money!

Agricultural banking has always been the cornerstone of The Bank's business. From beginnings as a small bank in the small town of Winona, in Logan County, KS, we have grown into a regional lender, and a respected leader in ag finance in the Tri-State area. No other bank in the region has more experience in farm lending.

Most of our loan officers have farming and ranching backgrounds, or are currently farming themselves.

The Bank is designated as a "Preferred Lender" by Farm Service Agency, making FSA Guaranteed Loans our specialty.

What Makes The Bank Different?

Many farmers and ranchers complain, that their loan officer just "goes through the motions", and doesn't really understand their business. Ask yourself how your current bank is helping you to increase yields and profits?

At The Bank, your loan officer can become a trusted advisor, working with you, bouncing creative ideas and proven solutions to help you make your operation more profitable. Our lenders have more to offer than just money to lend. We would like to think that our input has value to you and your farm.

Stability

The Bank has been lending in the region a long time. Management's roots go back to 1963. We are not going to be here today-gone tomorrow!

Our lending decisions are made locally. The Bank's loan officers typically have much more lending authority than competitor's officers. We are still small enough, to have a thorough knowledge of who are customers are, and how their farming operation works. Most decisions are given very quickly. For typical requests, The Bank can usually give a decision in half the time of our competitors.

Experience Fixing Problems

If you are struggling with your loans or farming operation, come see The Bank. We've solved more lending predicaments than anyone else. It never hurts to have a second opinion either.

Poor loan structure is often a cause of cash-flow problems. The Bank likes to keep things simple. Often, simplifying your loan structure can not only help your farm, but make management of your financing easier as well.

The Bank will go the extra mile, in working to fix a problem, and get you on the road to profitability. Our lenders aren't going to shy away from doing the extra work necessary. If something can be fixed, we'll be dedicated in working with the borrower to fix it!

Beginning Farmer Loans

The Bank has the financing programs to cover your operation from start to finish. Our superb "Beginning Farmer" program can help new farmers make their first land purchase a reality. By working with USDA's Farm Service Agency, or the Kansas Development Finance Authority, this program can provide better terms and rates to qualified beginning farmers. Qualified Beginning Farmers, with supporting Cash-Flow, and good credit, can purchase land with as little as 5% down, with certain programs. The rates for these programs are quite attractive as well. Stop in and see one of The Bank's lending professionals for more details.
